Emmanuel Ogonna Iwueke, the man the internet knows as Crazeclown or "Papa Ade," is a Nigerian comedian, Actor, skit maker, Digital Creator, Doctor and film maker that popularise the AFRICAN FATHER skits that potrays African Father in an African home and made the blueprint of using one outfit to represent a character in the Nigeria Digital space a thing. He recently got 4 Nominations at the Humour Awards 2026 debut and walked away with the Best Online Skit Maker (Male) and Best comic Actor 2026 award at the 4th Humour Awards. And in a moment that was very on-brand for a comedian, he admitted in his acceptance speech that he had actually been expecting to win the Fans' Favorite award. The crowd loved him for it. Because that is the thing about Crazeclown: he does not perform relatability. He just is relatable.

Born on December 24th 1991 in Imo state and raised in Kano State, Dr. Craze (yes, he is a licensed medical doctor, no, we still cannot fully process that) began his comedy journey in 2008. What started as Instagram skits quickly became a cultural movement. His "Papa Ade" series, featuring the hilariously strict African father navigating life with his son Ade, became one of the most beloved recurring formats in Nigerian digital content. The skits hit different because they were not just funny. They were familiar. Every Nigerian who has ever had a parent look at their report card with that specific face knew exactly what Papa Ade was feeling.

 

He graduated Medical school from Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine in 2017 and somehow found time between anatomy exams and comedic genius to build one of the most engaged audiences in the country. He toured the UK. He performed and Created his own stand up comedy show called "The GOOD, The MAD and The FUNNY" in Ukraine, that featured industry talents like Davido, Mr Eazi, Falz the badt guy, Bovi, Basket mouth, Funke Akindele, Phyno, Wande coal, Lil Kesh, Reekadobanks, Oga Network, Soft, Acapella, Pencil the comedian, Tayotee and so on. He launched House Of Craze Production in 2015 and developed the TV series House of Craze. In 2024 he started a web series called 'THERAPY SESSIONS (Anger Management)' that got him the comic actor awards and also got a nomination at the humour awards for 'Best Online comedy series'. He has signed brand deals, built a family, and still shows up online consistently enough to make the rest of us feel slightly unproductive.

 

He competed against a loaded category at the 2026 Humour Awards, going up against Mr Macaroni, Nasboi, Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi), Muhammad Gilmore, Sydney Talker, and Brother Solomon. That is not a list. That is a starting lineup. Winning in that company says something real about where Crazeclown sits in the Nigerian comedy ecosystem right now.
